Biographical

Mr. Meyerson regularly serves as a mediator in virtually all aspects of commercial, employment, construction, real estate and business litigation. In addition to his litigation experience as a practicing attorney, he is a former Judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals and General Counsel at Arizona State University. Mr. Meyerson has resolved successfully over 3000 cases in mediation. Mr. Meyerson has consistently been included in the ADR category of the "Best Lawyers in America" and has been chosen as a "Super Lawyer" in the Southwest in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

He is a frequent trainer on the subject of ADR, providing training to a mix of private sector groups and public entities such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the United States Department of Justice. He was selected by the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Maricopa, Pima and Coconino County Superior Courts to train judges in settlement conference skills. He has been selected by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to be one of a small number of neutrals hired to mediate EEOC charges in the Southwest. He also has been designated by the Arizona Association of Realtors to mediate disputes arising out of real estate purchase contracts. He has conducted mediation training for lawyers and judges in Mexico, Denmark and Serbia.

He teaches Arbitration, Mediation, ADR and Employment Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Arizona State University College of Law. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Pepperdine University Institute for Dispute Resolution where he taught Negotiation and Settlement Advocacy. He is a past Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution and the State Bar of Arizona Section of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

In addition, Bruce is an experienced arbitrator in over 200 commercial, construction, employment, domain name and class arbitrations with amounts in controversy up to $100 million. Commercial disputes arbitrated have included virtually all areas of the law including disputes in the health care industry, medical partnerships, pharmaceuticals, insurance claims, and banking. Arbitration experience includes participating in a mass claims arbitration involving thousands of state employees and serving as the sole arbitrator in ten regional and national class arbitrations. Bruce has served as Chair of an ABA Task Force on ADR and E-Commerce which developed guidelines for the use of ADR in electronic commerce.

He is a Past Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution. He has served as the Chair of the State Bar of Arizona Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution and served as the Chair of the Arizona Supreme Court ADR Advisory Committee for seven years. He led an ABA task force examining standards for the use of ADR in resolving e-commerce disputes.
